you need to get a good whistle stop going for starts so she stops on command, do you have a local rabbit pen you could use to get her used to quarry been in front? have her on the lead sat in front and get someone to push them in front and give her the command leave and keep her sat, worked for my labs, can now flush 100's of pheasants in front of her and she wont move a muscle

If she didn't chase them before but she does now it sounds like you have been letting her get away with it. Cockers are little buggers give them an inch they will take a mile guaranteed! :wallbash: Like Clare said a rabbit pen would be ideal and going back to basics - stop whistle, stopping on the way out for a retrieve etc. she is just trying it on by the sounds of it.

'been out and she did it again'

Here lies your problem. Leave the dog at home on shoot days until you have the training sorted. If you take her out again too soon then you will undo months of work and never have a steady dog!.

Have a look on the 'stop whistle' thread, this has been done on there the other day.

Basics are heel work, sit whistle, stop whistle need to be 100% before she sees anything she can chase again. Will be very boring and i totally understand your desire to get out on a shoot with her but in the end it is worth it.

I have a lot more respect for people who leave a young dog at home because they recognise its not ready than the person who has a dog running wild!
