Pissed Off!

A few good points made by a few people but around our area theres a influx of people getting FAC's then they're automatically pest controllers when sadly most are just the exact opposite.Granted this guy maybe a legit pest controller and nobody would begrudge anybody earning a living its just sadly not the case anymore. If you've lived a law-abiding life then you can get a FAC but being a law abiding citizen dosen't stop people from being irresponsible idiots.........sad fact of life

Alright cock muncher. Firstly, once he handed over his card i did tell him to piss off. I have his phone number, but decided posting that up was probably pushing it a little far. It's not about having

WOW Your so brave why not tell him yourself or are you worried that you might piss your pants what gives you exclusive rights to shoot and hunt?? I guess you are a coward then if you can only tackle h

why are you knocking him for trying to get a bit of permission,

i understand everyone will be defensive about their permission but how does he know that it is already taken by you.

you should of had the balls to tell him that its all your permission around there or of been nice enough about it and said sorry but all of the land around here is taken.

i'm sure that when you wanted permission someone knocked on your front door and asked you if you would like permission

nice to see you welcoming people to the sport

Alright so i had a knock on my door today from a MR ***************************. After asking where a lot of my neighbors lived and where the entrance to the next door farm etc was he left me a business card 'Free Professional Vermin Control', 'lamp or night vision can be used etc'. Of course he is giving one of these cards and his speech to EVERY landowner for miles and miles and miles (i saw the list) and fair enough, it's a free world. But the last thing i could do with is another muppet with a rifle blasting every bit of game/vermin in the area, when i have worked hard to win permission on most of the surrounding land. I know i sound like a brat, but it just gets on my tits, your not from here, and you just want to come through and shoot EVERYTHING (from my brief conversation i got that he was a big fan of reducing the vermin to 0), now f**k off back to where you came from like a good little boy. Maybe someone should tell him how un-safe it can be walking the local area after dark or he might just have to find out for himself.. . . . .

Rant Over.

WOW Your so brave why not tell him yourself or are you worried that you might piss your pants what gives you exclusive rights to shoot and hunt?? I guess you are a coward then if you can only tackle him after dark and well done for posting the guys name on an open forum why not put his address and phone No up

Does anyone know the name of the twat that posted this thread? If so post his name and see if he likes it

Yeh i know the name and the address of the OP and think he's right to be a little pissed off,the young lad has worked feckin hard to get his permission.Too many feckin midnight cowboys about with there feckin business cards trying to look professional when the truth is most of them are very irresponsible shooters thinking more about the kill than other issues,i.e is it safe shot etc.

Just to add Jai you'll be ok I don't think you'll lose any of your permission to him as you've got a good neighbourly connection to the people who give you permission

Thanks John i'm glad you get it. This was exactly it, shiny business card with all the trimmings, trying to look like a professional pest controller nice enough to do it for free when all he is, is a cowboy with a rifle who has probably already wasted all the permissions he had.

maybe he is a professional pest controller if you are doing it for free and doing a good job you should have nothing to worry about then

Why would a professional pest controller spend a work day driving about offering to do it for free?

it's all the on to but nothing is for free look what he make at a game dealer's so he make money anyway, just my honest opinion

very true, I travel over 1 hour 30 minutes to get to my nearest permission.

I used to have a car like that once.......... :tongue2:

this is all pissing in the wind........ The farmers etc must get asked on a weekly basis that you dont know about. Just cos this bloke has actually chapped your door, how many do you think just go straight to the farmer that you never hear about? f**k me, wish that's all I had to worry about lol........

YEr to be fair i just posted this because i'm a miserable little git who is having a bad day and being knocked up by a bloke going about the area asking for shooting just kind of wound me up. Problem is the fox thing. Can't very well ask for permission to run fox with dogs can you? You ask for the rabbits and what ever else gets up in the beam is just life. What you dont need is some tosser wandering the land blasting every fox he sees with his rifle and night vision/lamp. There isn't a problem with foxes here, they are 'managed', but it is ensured that enough survive that sport can continue. Could do without a midnight cowboy knocking them ALL off at ALL times of year. Some farmers will just say yes cos in their eyes its 'the more the merrier'. But basically i was being a moody prick. Problem?

And as tropperman points out its about saftey, we had a shooter working the area before, he was forced to stop after almost shooting me and another lad. He was firing across a valley at the fields opposite and the rounds were zinging up off the bank and into the woods where we were. TWAT. It's worse at night, lots and lots of cover and trees etc so its difficult to know where your bullets are going

Actually no. They had permission for one side of the valley and not the other, but still thought they would shoot the rabbits bouncing about on the opposite (our) side at the same time as we were ferreting. Probably a bit strong saying i almost got shot as the rounds were going up through the trees cos of the angle, but still kind of shit me up at the time.
