leather boot care...

ive finaly decided to buy some chameau mouflon plus boots and after paying a fair bit for them thort i would look around for something to put on them before they get covered in mud and sh1t to perhaps make them last longer and more waterproof and keep the leather good. ive been looking at this stuff. anyone use it or recomend any other stuff or shall i just save my money.

i have the le chameau mouflon boots i think they are cracking boots and i,ve used that nikwax stuff on them since the day i bought them i think its good suff mate werth £3 quid allday!! but dont put it on with a rag use your hands its much better or if you can get your missis hair dryer evan better!! :D they reckon its better when the wax is warm it goes into the boots better and dont put them by the fire to dry!!

Have chameau wellies but have only otherwise had brasher boots, the stuff they produce for their leather boots is excellent, it helps to proof and doesnt make the leather weak by over softening, presume it would do the same for other leathers. Costs about £5 but cant recommend it highly enough. PS no I am not on commission :laugh:

yep maty nikwax is the stuff i used it on my walking boots for years , a little tip is warm the tin first not too much it goes fully liquid (( not speaking from experience tho :whistle: )) just enough to soften it then apply with the fingers rubbing it in all over then allow to dry in a warm room it applys better this way cheers rob

cheers fellas. had a look on the tinternet and the cheapest was about 2.80 for the smallest size but then postage took it upto a fiver. so got it from country stores for 3.00 starnage as there usually dearer on everything else. just need the boots to arrive now :D
