markvining 18
Hi all, Friday is starting to be rat night, the weather was awful absolute p**s down i was hoping to get the night vision zero during the day but didn't make it back from work in time. So i just put it on and hoped it was still on zero, a couple of shots at the side of the shed i thought it was close enough so i was on. The big barn is a bit of hot spot for ratus an it didn't disappoint a full mag and about 10 laying dead i couldn't belive how accurate the night vision was by putting back on the rifle without zeroing it ,i did try to put back on in same place so on i went for a little walk round the back of the farm i crept round this one corner in the darkness and squelch followed by screaming,i grabbed the torch looked down there was a big old rat bent double taking chuncks out of my boot good job the old Wellies are Steele's but nether the less i still sh*t my self and jumped he was dragging him self off so i pointed towards the rat and shot straight in the head not too bad from shooting from the hip. The next shed also a hot spot since Ive moved the pigs out i laid down in the passage and un loaded another clip. 2 hours and 22 bodies picked up not to bad i going to try the night vision on the rabbits later this time its all zeroed should be good. what the biggest rat anyone has shot would interesting cos i think some of these are daddy rats? mark 4 Quote Link to post

Ron Weasley 83
Some whoppers there mate, well done! I don't think I've shot any that big, but the biggest I've found that I've accounted for measured from the tip of it's nose to the tip of it's tail at 21.5". It was at a recycling centre- I certainly got some strange looks when I had the tape measure out in the car park! Quote Link to post
