theres some right bollocks gets chatted on here, it seems more foxes die in one day on this site than they do in a full season in the real world, now heres a few facts i know..... the majority of half

Ok, I'll get with the post, the post says 'heavy', well lets face it, no heavy (as in weight) can catch much at all. As for first crosses, well run at the right weight and they'll do the job, week in

a fox that wants to move can move seriously fast and turn faster, heavy set dogs no matter how game wont catch nearly the amount of foxes day or night that a racier game dog can.a lot of people especially those that do more talking than catching think that all foxes are simple to catch, they are not,a fast dog is needed especially on shy ones.

I will 100% agree with all of what you have said, .

you dont need a fast dog to catch a fox, i'v seen a lab right on a foxs tail

Did it catch it though, if the fox felt pressured im sure that tail would be flicking about while it is spraying shit in the dogs face inbetween turning nigh on like a hare.

ive been out with a few lads with heavy bull xs watch there dogs work on all sorts of quarry but one thing i notice is they work em with so many injurys. i dont meen bites i meen swollen wrists stiful injurys swollen toes traped nerves. theses dogs run on flint fields smashed feet get lauched out of windows at speed and they wonder why they cant spin a fox about how many bull x owners take there dogs to greyhound vets to get em look at

Its makes me chuckle how folk on here talk about catching foxes pre ban like it was normal practice

I've ran dogs for a good few years now, and never owned nor seen one that caught red with any sort of consistancy - and I have been around some belters over the years. Im not saying they arent about - only I haven't seen them.

Personally I think the post was a non-brainer to start with, anyone who's done a bit, will know how quick a fit red-lad can be, and how they can disappear in a lamp in a milli-second.

.............I suppose its rather like asking if a golden eagle could catch a swallow - Just apply the simple laws of logic

I am in no way calling your pooch or you mate so dont take this the wrong way as that look's a fine looking dog you have there, but if you excercise her the right way and feed her the right food she will loose a good few pounds and muscle up lovely, you say she is heavier than i think . :hmm: .im sure she will be hitting the 80/90lb mark which makes no difference mate as she is not a overly stocky bitch and is carrying extra weight, get her out every day maybe twice a day for a couple of hours a session and in a months time you will see a different dog. ;) .
