CUTTING A SHROUD DOWN

Recommended Posts

Hi buddy I had mine cut back on my S510 shrouds are more for looks than of use and when a silencer is fitted makes them rather long hence having it cut back

It will not affect the performance or accuracy of the rifle

If you are wanting to fit a silencer after having it cut back you will need an adaptor fitting

Any other questions give me a shout

nice 1 for the reply the the reason why i ask is that i have a problem with the pellets slightly clipping the silencer (can not hit a barn door) i took the silencer of and the grouping is still irratic took the adapter of the shroud and the grouping is alot better and i looked behind the adapter and a pellet has really clipped it and left a big dint in the adapter and when you put your finger down the shroud and pull it out it is covered in lead so im thinking that the threads on the adapter are a fraction out so to cover all basis im thinking of having a new adapter and having 4-5" took of the shroud and have it rethreaded then i can put my original carbon silencer back on

I have a Daystate mk4 which as you know has a shroud, Adi reduced it to around 1.5 inch past the barrel and then threaded the barrel for me!!!! Top top job, silencer screws straight onto the barrel so there is no way it can't line up correctly!

Also sorting it that way the actual length is slightly shorter which makes it easier to use (for me) and in my opinion looks better!!!

Actually bought a Twink silencer from Adi as well, very very quiet!

All in all well chuffed!!! Give Adi a call....
