gunpower stealth info

just sold an bsa superten and took a gunpower stealth in as px , the gun seems ok is it worth keeping or selling , is there any common faults on these , any info would be appreciated .

hello there mate

 

yes there is a commen fault with these rifles. untill resently they would often come out of the factory with very different power readings,ie very underpower for what they should be.

 

with this said tho im a fan off the gun very light and i love to shoot them. there also very very easy to work on. and i do mean easy.

 

dont let any half ass person drill the valve on the bottle to get the power up tho.

 

get her on the crono see what shes running.

 

an most of all have a few shots. you if like me will like.

Thanks Andy im just digging the chrono out now iff the battrys still working lol , ..i kinda like the gun it is very light yes and looks pretty much straight forward , i will check the chrono reading and get back .

Right the chrono readings using .22 AA field were 10 shots = 11.0 , 11.1, 10.9, 11.2 ,11.1, 11.1 , 11.2 ,11.1 ,11.1 11.0.....................and the groupings were on a size of a 2 pence of about 25 yards free hand...im realy getting to like the stealth now it seems ok , Will get it serviced and use it on the next hunting session .

mate of myn had one for years was 8 out the box had some work dun and it was fantastic to shoot. super light for standing shots.

 

did sound a bit like an anti tank gun when the power was incresed tho.but a better silencer would have solved that.

 

still as your finding very accuret and easy to shoot.

try putting a 20 grain pellet in it or a 30 grain pellet if you can get one .try it with a full .half full and near empty bottle .to stop a stealth i once had going over 12 ftlbs with 20 grain pellets i had to make it shoot 14 grain pellets 10 to 10.5 ftlbs .

As soon as the Stealth is back from its service i will do the testing with different pellets and grains on the chrono , i will keep you posted , thanks all.

keep an eye on the power they tend to creep up. someone who i no had one when he got it it was at 25ftlbs so it got sent away and put back down to 12ftlbs and by the end of the year it was back at 25ftlbs

I've had 2 of them one from Mansfield gun shop and one well a storm from addie Waugh. Brilliant little rifles and real rabbit stoppers. My stealth was doing 11.8 with Bisley magnums. I shot my longest range ever in my life bunny with my stealth, not my storm.

Thanks for the advice guys i dropped it into the shop this morning for its service, im also going to order the bipod from gunpower in Ashford for it today aswell , I will upload some pics soon .

hi buddy you have got yaself one of the good ones they are not known for there accuracy but when you get a good 1 you know your onto a winner

 

my father in law is in the prottype stage of a magazine system for the stealth

the reason they sound loud is the standard stealth moderator has no internals but you can have a TWINK MKII made for the stealth also available from my father in law he is the designer and manufacturer of the TWINK SILENCERS http://www.amcustomgunsmiths.com/silencers.html
