Risky taking pup out?

Recommended Posts

I think this one is down to your own opinion mate. take him out now and to be honest the chances of him catching anything is slim BUT and its a big but it is possible to contract the parvo virus after they have had their first jab but largely depends on the pup in question and how it accepted its first jab.

It is quite rare but it dose happen trust me.After seeing it first hand(Thankfully not with a pup I owned)I would never risk it again as I must admit to doing in the past.

For the sake of a couple of weeks is it realy worth it...Only you can decide mate.

Fair comments guys and mixed opinions as expected.

I have taken him out just in the front garden tonight to have a run around and get used to the lead... And the fireworks!

I thought 10 mins in the garden would take some energy out of him, but was wrong. Lol.

I will wait the few weeks out save risking anything.

I am going to take him up my mums tomorrow to meet her 2 x Dobes and JRT, get him used to the car and other dogs etc. They are all jabbed up and rarely leave the house.

I want to socialise him as much as possible.

Thanks for replys.

Mate just give it both jabs and then youle be sure. Is it really worth it? I mean do you think it will be enjoyable for you or the pup if it DOES catch parvo (or anything else)? Watching it puke and shit its own lifeblood out all over your floor/bed/lap. For the sake of a fortnight of carrying it in your jacket whule out on walks?
