Wales backs wern't really in the game........not decisive enough with the ball in hand and far too many missed tackles and stupid penalties given away, missed our big game players Roberts,Byrne and Halfpenny.Forwards stepped up though, imagine if the aussies had a scrum would've been a much bigger win for them.

Not really a drinker to be honest mate but i love the big occasion no matter what the sport and should be a good day,i think talent is obvious even when you dont know what your looking at so i should

What, no mention of the England-New Zealand game? :whistling:

The all blacks deserved to win no argument, but Englands second half was encourging if only they could play like that from the start. I sometimes wonder if it's down to fitness, the southern hemisphere teams seem to be able to play a faster game for all the 80 minutes, where as England do not seem able to do that. It's as if the Northern hemisphere teams play "In" the ground, but the Southern hemisphere teams are able to play "On" the ground and don't get bogged down playing a forward type of game. Playing as much Rugby as the Northern teams do can't help either.

Well I was going to watch it on bbc three but you've gone and spoilt it now :whistling:

Maybe if the english rugby union hadn't sold out to sky and keep there rugby from the masses then maybe they'd have got a few more comments

Yeah too true Johnny Boy,Danny Cipriani, what the fu#k happened there!?!?! Sleeping his way around Hollywood hahaha fair play but WTF?!? As some one else said on this post the game is changing everyone is the same shape/size no real room in the game anymore for the kicking game imo. Sad really

Sorry lads didn't mean it as in "mourn the loss" But as in i hope the game doesn't become too one dimensional if ya know what i mean!?

Anyways bad day all round. Ireland were lucky in the end, needed O'Gara and Stringer to calm us down, we looked really shakey!

The SA forwards were excellent by the way!

The "HAKA" is 1 off the best spectacles in sport ~ remember watching the welsh lined up and standing there ground "ELECTRIC ATMOSPHERE".

Im not really a rugby fan but seeing the haka is without doubt one of the icons in sport so i went to see the game yesterday,i found it a little disappointing how the english crowd sung over it,its obviously a tradition thats to be respected in my opinion not shouted down.As regards the game itself i didnt know what was going on half the time :icon_redface: .....but im glad i went it was a big occasion and certainly a great stadium.I was surprised how different the crowd is to the football crowd,so much more passive and nowhere near as intense...i was amazed you could sit and have a beer while watching the game...anyway i thought England did ok all things considered made a big improvement in the second half, but then what do i know...think i,ll stick to footie to be honest :D

I dont know mate ,its the same same every year ....i would keep the pack the same ,but start richie rees, bigger and hook inside centre with bishop outside ......they seemed to pick the tempo up when they came on ....also bring martin williams on last 20 again......i like to see bit of creativity in the centre ,not a big fan of roberts bit too one dimensional for wales and teams just read it everytime....think steven jones and phillips are getting near their sell by dates too.

I think Phillips is at his best when he comes on as a sub.

Just heard Byrne should be fit for next week so Hook can go back to 12,I don't think Biggar is ready for test rugby yet he's a little to prone to mistakes imo.Roberts is a little one dimensional but when he's playing the opposition target him leaving space for Hook and Byrne to exploit, they've called Andy Powell up too not the biggest fan of him but he's a physical presence around the feild that we need against these southern hemisphere teams

Well South Africs showed why they're world champs just too strong and physical for us at the beginning of the second half but you've got to take your hat off to young George North 18yrs old and two tries on his test debut :notworthy:

Overall a much better performance by Wales but still not quite clinical enough

Good luck Scotland lets hope for a good game

I was fecking fuming earlier Jonny. That's the best chance we've had in the past decade to beat them and we blew it. I could reel of a number of excuses to explain the result. Uneven advantage being played to both sides, Tom Shanklin missing two golden opportunities to set up a guaranteed try, etc, but the truth is we blew it. Nearly men again where the Southern Hemisphere is concerned..

If I take my heart out of the occasion though, that was the best game of international rugby I've seen for a long time, and what about that début from George North? notworthy.gifnotworthy.gifnotworthy.gif

I'm just hoping for a decent, morale boosting win against Fiji to set us up for a decent tilt at the All Blacks..
