Autumn Internationals

Well its that time again when all the Home nations get to test themselves against the best in the world

I really look forward to these games to see where we are on a global level I know these games don't have the same passion as the 6 nations but any rubgy fan can't deny that playing the All Blacks,Wallabies and the Boks is something special even more so with a World Cup just around the corner

Our boys have a tough start against the Aussies who will be in confident mood after beating NZ last week. This Austrailian team have a good mixture of youth and experience with some real class in there back line,I'm hoping that we can start the game at a fast pace and not give them chance to settle if we do let them get into a groove we could be in for a diffacult afternoon.

England have got the toughest test imo against NZ who England will be hoping are still suffering a hangover from losing to the aussies, though I would think that the Blacks want to put last week behind them and come out firing on all cylinders.

The Irish game is one I'm looking forward to as you don't know which Boks will turn up but one thing is certain this game will most likely be the most physical......BOD and the rest of the Irish lads will be well up for this game especially with Boks missing a few of their "top" players.

So good luck to all the nations involved but especially Wales..........Cymru am Byth!

Looking forward to these myself Johnny boy, should be some good games. Agreed, both Wales and England will have very tough games, more so England imo (imagine facing 15 kiwis who have just been beaten by their arch rivals..... ouch!). I think Wales will take Aussies, and we will definately put it to the Boks!! First international in the new Lansdowne we can do it alright.

Wilkinson should just retire at this stage imo. If Wales can get that nice fast passing game of theirs going the Aussies wont get a look in, and if England use the Kiwis agression against them and control the mauls and rucks, and if Ireland show up on the day and put their usual 110% into the game with the Lansdowne crowd behind them..... then we should all win. Simples :toast::laugh:

I was lucky enough to train with the All Blacks in 1991 when they were playing Italy at Welford rd. They trained at our club before thier test. Spent 2 hours there, turned up already changed, trained, showerd and left. Dropped the ball twice in that time. They had a guy running around picking up thier training tops where they had dropped them. He then put water bottles out where each of them were running to, when they had finished, they just lobbed them on the grass and the guy picked them up. They wanted "live" scrumidgeing, so we had 10 againt thier 8. Fecking ace. Never had to push so much in my life just to stay still.

I've lost a lot of interest in Rugby, to much cheating now, slowing the ball down. Also, the players now are getting to be all the same shape, no matter what position they play. No room for the small fat guy now. I think Rucking should be brought back too, no lying over the ball killing it then.

Should be good to see where the Home nations stand in world rugby.

Agree totally should be a great atmosphere at Lansdowne Road.........I think Englands main problem at the moment is finding that balance, they don't seem to be able to settle into a game plan that they're comfortable with imo.Too many English No10's want to try and control the game with kicking and seem a bit perplexed when it dosen't work for them,I was hoping that Danny Cipriani was going to be the breath of fresh air that England were looking for at 10 though the OK magazine life appealed to him in the end.......shame really.
