Guest stewie Posted November 4, 2010 Report Share Posted November 4, 2010 can anyone think of a make that even comes close to stihls quality??? the amount of cheap crap i gone through as i was to tight to spend good money on tools is unreal :icon_eek: the saying "buy cheap buy twice" is very true i brought three chainsaws for £ off a bloke who ensured me the were top quality and after three tree jobs they were in bits on the scrap pile!!! so i brought a stihl ms210 2nd hand for £60 about a year ago and its unbreakable!! its had hour after hour of hard work and NEVER let me down wether its up a tree, logging or taking a shed down the quick way :whistling: same with strimmers and hedge trimmers gone through loads but ended up with stihl and cant fault them im set up for years now i got the ms410 in the end i no some lads knocked them when i asked on here about them and since i got it a few lads i no have said the same but i only need it for slabs and metal really its a 2008 model and i got it for £155 on ebay so i cant complain its already paid for itself must be loads on here who use power tools so let me no what you think Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Must be coming up 20 years now, and to my knowledge all he's done with it is change the blade & spark plug. It's a b*****d to start, but once it's going there's no stopping it. smithie 2,443 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Share Posted November 4, 2010 my mate was using a petrol stihl an he was cutting a curbstone, he ended up getting an electric shock from the sparkplug cap and this caused him to cut his knee. hes now got a 1 inch scar and it could have been worse i supose. the funny bit is he got the shock on his bell end Quote Link to post Share on other sites
