undisputed 1,664
Ok I was driving this morning and about 15ft above me a falcon hit a strag not once but three times. The 3rd time the strag hit the deck and flew into a wire fence followed by the falcon who swooped on it and spread its wings to protect its meal. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes by this time I had slowed down and began creeping forward to get a better look. Unfortunately I spooked the falcon and it flew of and the strag regained its composure and flew away in the opposite direction a very luck bird indeed. What made this more extraordinary (for me anyway) this didn't happen out in the wilds on the hills but right smack in the middle of a housing scheme. I have never witnessed anything like this before and was so transfixed I forgot I had a camera on my phone, I doubt I will ever see anything like this again in my lifetime and it got me wondering if this is a common sight. So lets hear what your most strange encounter with the animal world has been...and sheep shagging dont count

mangy1983 51
It wasn't me that experienced this but it is a strange one never the less. A woman was driving from one village to the next on my island when a rabbit fell from the sky and landed on her bonnet. She braked hard in shock wondering what had hit her when she received a second shock. A golden eagle dived down to retrieve the rabbit it had just dropped! A tall tale or true l don't know but funny story never the less! cheers Callum
