Does a squirrel have to be on private land or can catch a squirrel at the local wooded area?

I agree with danman, get permision, which should be easy enough for trapping or air rifle, then kill the buggers. no 'valid reason' necesary (as stubby sugested)... they are a bloody invasive non native pest, and should be controlled at every opertunity. good luck. have fun. eat well.
