Guaranteed Dogs

Recommended Posts

I was going to stay out of this one....BUT.... :D

I don't believe any of this guaranteed and proven tales that you READ.

Firstly there are way too many people with our type of dogs who are VERY impatient. They don't allow the dog to grow, mature and socialise. Some buy these pups and watch it sit in the kennel waiting for it to grow some legs long enough so it can be slipped on it's first prey that moves. It catches a hare/deer/fox....it's now become proven.

It can take several years to get a good dog to learn it's trade, and it can take a few impatient outings to ruin a dog.

Only YOU and a selected few will know what THE dog is capable of doing and to what standard. (Usually this will remain on the hush hush) It's those who know and witness this that will decide wheather it is proven. A good owner must accept that his dog has the capability or not and not hide it's failures, but then everybody has different standards.

If your happy with what you have got then so be it. ;)

Lets face it, what comes after this? A litter of pups! :D

Good thread mate, I dont think there is such a thing as guaranteed....it is possible to sicken any livving thing if you push it hard enough.

why dose it have to be an age thing? one bloke could take his dog out one time a week so when it gets to 4 and its doing the bizz dose that make it guaranteed? then on the other hand a bloke could t

There are lads who if they told me that a dog was guaranteed, I would nod with interest and want to know more.

There are lads who if they told me that a dog was guaranteed, I would raise my eyebrows and take a sharp intake of breath.

The former are few and far between, and the latter are all too common.

And the killer is, the lads in the first group would very rarely describe a dog as guaranteed, whereas the latter use it far too frequently.

Dont know if this has been covered before but i was just pondering at what age a dog can be guaranteed at.

Ive been noticing that in the for sale section there are dogs for sale at 18 months old and sometimes younger supposedley guaranteed all quarry.

My personal take on this is a dog needs to be at least 3 years old before any sort of guarantee can be placed upon it.Preferably 4 years old if im being honest.

All thoughts on this will be much appreciated...atb stabba

i think you are getting guaranteed and proven mixed up mate, if somone seels a dog with a guarantee and that dog does exactly what the seller say's, then he is spot on, but it will need a bit longer to prove itself, before it can be a proven dog, just my oppinion thats the way i wuld take it

i can guarrantee you 1 thing..

buy one of the new era binshaws from leigh and it will jack,

now hows that for a guarrantee,

MARKBRICK you can change your name all you like, it's not hard to spot you, you are so predictable it's pathetic,

it's a bit sad really that you are that lonely you feel the need to slate people, these minshaws wont jack,

you know why???? because they are in good hands, with lads who will bring them on in the right way,

not like you running them on hares at 6 month, at the back of the lazzy landy because you are to bone idle to walk,

no wander that dog jacked, and now she is in the ground with the rest of your broken dogs, call yourself a dog man,

i call you a egotistic prick, without a care or a clue about dogs, brick you really need to get a life, i thought you was selling up

and packing the game in??? or was that more attention seeking??? i wish you would the dog world would be a better place

I don't think any dog could be classed as guaranteed, especially when it comes to selling them to another owner. A good owner knows his dog inside out and knows how to get the best out of it, and also knows when not to bother.
