Guest ROXY
My bull cross pushed a fox out of a spinney and cought it with 110 percent commitment got bit but did the job well, coursed three hares cought one with the help of a sheep fence, then another fox was bolted the lurcher was unsighted momenterally and the fox made a fair bit of ground between them the lurcher had to jump 2 sheep fences then pushed the fox in between 2 other sheep fences, the course went on untill the fox broke for the feild again the lurcher pulled it but didnt grab any where as she had done in the past even jumping out of the way of the fox striking but once she got a good hold the end was instant, my question is could i put this down to a lot of courses and her being nackerd or being sore or is she just not as game as i thought, all opinions apreciated the day i am talking about was a long time ago before the stupid ban came about and the bitch is long gone now. Guest oldskool
jumped 2 fences and then cuaght the fox after coursin 3 hares and another fox that mornin.... if it was me i would be delighted with the dog but every one has different standards ... as for the dog taking a step back,,, there is nothin wrong with a dog assessin his situation.. perhaps he is startin to learn to look for a vital spot to make a clean kill without having to get bit unnecessarily?? either way roxy, i would be happy :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post
