TOMO 26,284
had a look out last night with the wind blowing a gale, it would have been criminal not to go. met up with ginny spinner and his old man . we had the two litter sisters out this time , my bitch Venus and Swift. we set of around 10 pm and the bottom padocks were lifting but very hard to catch here because of the simple post and rail fencing . but they managed a few and we moved on to some better fields and the bag grew. swifts retrive is faultless it realy is gundog standard until one incident she brought a rabbit half way back droped it and started rolling on it me and andy were in stitches feck knows what that was about. we had done one little circuit got back to the car and i had 16 rabbits and ginny had 18, after a drink we headed up top and there realy was some bunns up there only did about 5 fields and came back the dogs were nackered. we got to the car and counted up 62 rabbits, Venus had 30 and Swift had 32. so very pleased with these two 16 month olds . 1 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,327
Thanks for inviting us on your hard earned permission AGAIN Tomo it's much appreciated ,i really enjoyed seeing the pups out of your old Visa and my dog Jack at graft,if early indications are anything to go by they could be half decent .Hopefully when their fitness level's improve and OUR'S  we might just repeat last season's exploits? Doesn't seem a bad litter of pups you reared up there matey .16 month old as of today they are, last night was only Swift's second run out apart from an odd catch local and to be perfectly honest last night was the first time i've EVER seen her run a rabbit let alone catch one,the kids have had one or two kill's but not me,i just train and feed and clean up after her lol, anyhow, for young gun's they have tremendous strikes on them and that will only get better as time passes? I'm pleased i held Swift back until i did,she was very lean and unfurnished but now she's starting to look the part and like you say her retrieve is absolutely superb as for Venus well she is coming along great, retrieves, very fast and has an array of gears when and as she requires them, things are looking "ok" with the team me thinks  .Cheers Andy.
