A days stalking

I'm interested in doing a days stalking, whats the best way to go about it, what should i expect and how much should i be looking to pay??

Firstly, have you got a deerstalking rifle and have you had any experience at all with deer.?

 

Look at some ads in the many forums, here and SD site are a couple to look at for availability in your area. You want to be looking at between £60- per stalk depending on species of deer. Don`t be falling for the cull fee on top of the stalking fee for does and hinds that seem to be cropping up lately. . If you shoot something, you may get offered the chance to buy the carcasse, usually at gamedealer prices, in the region of 80p-£1.00 per pound.

 

Go with an open mind as there is no guarentee in shooting something, but you should see something or at the very least see plenty of signs, slots, droppings, fraying posts etc.
