44david44 - thanks very much for that manual. Will give it a good read. Cheers.

Casso - I will start playing tug with the toy, will save my hands from getting ripped up! Lol. I didn't know if playing tug with it would hinder with the "give" command, if he thinks he can keep hold of it and rag it. But I guess he will enjoy playing.

Thanks all

you can use the out or give command, as a break from playing if the dog understands your going to give it straight back into his mouth, as long as he knows hes going to get it again, and will get to continue playing, only at the end of play give him a treat, and take the toy, dont worry bout commands yet, bud ,,the thing is , its not the toy that has to be the attraction , its the playing with you , that must be the most exciting thing, the toy is only a means of comunication between the two of you, and as he gets older, keep him on the lead when you play so he cant leg off with it, that way the most excitment is to be had, beside you, forgot to mention always let the dog win when you play tug ,its great for the retrieve , if you find the pup is bringing the toy to you to play with , your half way there ,,best of luck with him,,,always let him win,,
