there is people on this site who use these models of nv ,there is the ranger and ranger pro,on the descriptions one throws a beam 250 and one 600m

is this when its working in darkness or daylight ? the price is quite a difference but is the pro worth the money regarding the quality and length of imagages?

thanks a lot

Lee just buy the Ranger and then buy a N1000 IR laser from here at £120 http://www.nvscopes.com/night%20vision%20laser%20illuminator%20N1000.html it works out cheaper, the only difference is the Pro has a laser instead of an LED this is why one throws a beam 250 and one 600m

Ranger 5x42 best price on the net is here at £320

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yukon-Ranger-Digital-Night-Vision/dp/B000HZT88I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288646428&sr=1-1

The Ranger pro here at £657.20

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yukon-Ranger-Pro-5x42-vision/dp/B0032XRARI/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1288646903&sr=1-2-fkmr0

or go on Ebay the pro is £568.99 to your door Item number: 280581612060

The Ranger is £289 to your door Item number: 120608899170

Hope this helps

Lee,

I got my ranger from here click here £289, I then bought an ir laser. It works well out to 350yards'ish which is more than adequate for foxing.

people are using these to scan fields in darkness so the lamping is kept to a minimum, keeps the quarry unspooked

and with the results weve seen on this web site they look deadly

do you need a bracket or fixing when buying both seperate ?

please could some one on here send a pic of their set up so i can see for myself what it looks like

thanks lee

The offers still open for you to have a look at my set up if you like, and as I said if I were buying now I'd probably get the cheaper version and go with pestcontrol121 and dave1372's advice.

Here's a link to some video I recorded last year which shows the capability. This was on a perfect night and not all images are this good, depending on the darkness and the background.
