longnetter 32 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 Hemp has been a mix of flax and sisal for years now.Far too many people still prefer hemp just to write it off and nothing beats hemp in the field ,that's a plain fact, BUT it must be dried after use or you'll end up with a collection of rings, drawstrings and rotten netting . I like spun poly but I don't think it's the wonder material it's made out to be.....certainly no better than spun nylon. Nowadays nets are made from all sorts of materials and I think you've got to go a long way to beat a good old fashioned heavy (10 or 12Z)nylon twine ATB Quote Link to post
