The bitch should be in her prime now as regards age,it can only be her food and condition, some bitches take longer than other's to get fit, some just lose the prey drive to succeed on a run,put a picture up of her condition and we might get a better idea, not a lot you can do if its a heavy cross or the bitch has lost her drive, she may have a medical condition thats effecting her, hope you sort her out, wirralman

my bitch lost her drive after a rough time with a litter 10 month ago ,she had 2 get cut open, lost 8 out of 9 pups due 2 dodgey milk, she has never been the same since ,i take my dogs out on the bikes keep them in shape she car,nt even do 2 miles now ,before the pups i would have them on 10/15 miles somtimes longer, now i just walk her round the local fields ,as for working i,ve semi retired her ,big stuff that dos,ent need of running can still do ,as for hares not a chance no more she be handy dog before all this ,i,m gutted as she only 6 ,these should the best years, hope you can sort your dog out....atb....dh

How old is your bitch? as I did nt see that mentioned

Y.I.S Leeview

she is 4 years old mate

Well here goes Richie198 IMHO the bitch was nt old enough when you mated her, she was good by your own admission but she would of got even better by this season and next when she naturally would of peaked 4-5yrs old and held her condition a while longer  after that age

Having a litter of pups takes a lot out of a bitch and not many perform as well after a litter as they did before it, think about the muscles how they have been stretched through carrying the litter? she may of got her shape back but as you are noticing shes not quite as good as she was
