foyrious 13
Thought I'd ask about the mardiest types. . I've kept a lot of types, but my saluki x whinges over anything? My bitch ran into him yesterday and he didn't shut up for ages. . I shut the door and caught his toe the other day and it sounded like murder. He whines if we stop walking. . My other 3dogs are tough as old boots but my saluki x is a pussy. . Is it just the saluki in him or just his age? I've always bin lucky until now, and he aint nervous or handshy, just a proper drama queen. . He's ten month now. Cheers Quote Link to post

Guest Buttermilk
We once had a little Whippety Lurcher like that...she used to moan and whinge about everything. She once had ONE stitch taken out at the vets.... she screamed the place down and then promptly fainted and had to be given oxygen. If you stopped stroking her, she'd whinge, stopped walking up the fields, she'd whinge....she also used to jump up onto our pony's back and just sit there as he trotted around the paddock ....she was a little freak basically. Malt 379
I've found most lurcher's are big shits until you get them in a field. My beddy/whippet yelps at the slightest little thing in the house, but I've known him to run into a steel gate on the lamp and not be bothered by it. Quote Link to post

watchman 256
dogs seem to whinge a lot more than bitches, not fact by any means, just from the ones iv had, seen and come across over the years Quote Link to post
bert the fert 28
Just based on the lurchers i've owned or known, then i'd presumed that being mard was a defining characteristic of the dogs. Compared to the gundogs and working breeds i've had the lurchers are soo sensitive. Quote Link to post
