thanks for that big bull x cross the one i have is deben its rubbish the only thing holding it together is the tape i put around it and its only a year old

 

HBG said his is the same holding together with tape i got 2 deben 17 amp battery bags and they are shit and busted as well

i personaly wouldnt do t that way mate becuase i usualy go thro two 17 amps a night so by the time you f**k about taking the spades off with screw drivers ect all i dog is plug the lamp into the battery and away 2 go i think its safer as well because you never know if a lamp is connected 2 a battery in the van iv seen the back of my van full of smoke with me in the it was like stars in your eyes

So what kind of connection will i ask for in the electricians? I only use the 1 battery so wont be changing half way through a night, fiddley things these lamps!

dont know what they are called mate as i said they have them in wilkinson you could print the pic off ov mine and take it into an electricians and ask them do they stock them or can they get them

ask for lawnmower connections [plugs] from BanQ they the same asthe white cnnectors.is use golf trolley connectors they are made for 17/18 amp batterys with an 18 amp dry cell battery and the best thing ive found to carry in is a good cartridge bag only 25 quid but is very strong aslong as you get one with the shoulder strap that goes right round the bag [i.e underneath]

I use the 10 amp orange ones, but I see other lads use the 5 amp white ones. You can buy them in homebase and b+q if your stuck (for lawnmowers etc)but expect to pay double.
