feeding the ferts

Recommended Posts

I find my ferrets lose condition using cat food so I use high protien compleat puppy biscuits and my ferrets are in top nick.

Unless taurine is included in the puppy biscuit ingredients, this could lead to cardiac problems. Also, regular feeding of any food which is high in carbohydrates to a ferret can result in gastrointestinal problems and/or insulinoma.

my ferrets are fed on meat until the summer months wich I then swap onto the buiscuits(beta pup) wich I have fed to my ferrets over 20 years and havnt had a problem yet and my ferrets are graffters not fat pets to just cart around shows they are as fit as fiddles and this works for me just my way of doing it.
