stevethefish 80
Well another session, me Stevo, Ray and Danny ventured out to a bit of land I have near sleaford, it was very heavy cover and I really expected to miss more bolt holes than we netted. Having a good start gave us plenty of confidence and after the first 2 sets we had a clean sheet with no unexpected escapees. The 3rd and 4th we were lucky when grass covered bolt holes we missed had rabbits bolted only to go back down netted holes, hmmm lucky or what. When we got the the railway side "Ray and Danny" did manage to miss a couple but Danny made up for it on some awesome digs, and a fantastic dive through the railway fence to catch a rabbit just about to escape the net. Like I said we had some awesome digs, bit on the deep side but that is what it's all about, the complete package. We dont mind digging to recover rabbits and ferrets and speed the process up. The job we do is to reduce the amounts of rabbits that cause damage, and we can say we would have made a bit of an impact on this small area. The rabbits are undermining the fences and causing real damage on the lawns, and just causing a damm nuisance. We finished up with 36 for a few hours and had to leave 4 due to being too difficult to recover, lost 5 from unseen bolt holes but still had a great day and a good crack. Quote Link to post
