weasle 1,119
Accidents can happen thats for sure, but i know for sure that if i had insurance over the years,i would be out of pocket by a substantial amount, that prob ally depends on the vet you use, a country vet or better still a grey hound vet, will only do whats needed to fix the problem, pet vets see pounds.I have been to the vets on sundays having a dog stitched, course of antibiotics, and drip for a couple of hours, and paid not even half price,of a pet person taking there dog to get worm and flea dose. slsteele 1
I think regardless of working ,Lurchers all run flat out and have a natural instinct to chase causing injuries so insurance is a must!......... If I dog breaks it's neck, is hit at speed by a car or smashes it's leg beyond repair, you can have all the insurance you like, it's going to to bugger all to save the dog! As I said 'causing injuries', death is a non-refundable claim dry bread........ Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Injuries can be horrible, upsetting and stomach churning but when a dog is chashing around the countryside at 35mph an injury is always just around the corner. Not nice but thats the reality im afraid. Quote Link to post
