hello just want to no what people think about ferreting without locator is there any people on here who have done it are who still do

Before locators were invented we all ferreted without, I dont go with a locator these days, we see stacks of feral ferrets round here, none waring collars, so what does that say to you, if you cant afford a locator and collars, then you'll have to do with out, just try not to leave without your ferrets when you get p**sed of waiting for them to surface on a cold wet day

Come off it Stealthy, that never happened in the days before locators so why would it happen now? Unless some ferreters are made of different stuff nowadays, the 'I want it now, playstation generation' maybe?

im selling my locator because i never use it..never dug up a ferret in me life!!

I sold my locator last week..And I've never dug a ferret out yet..sometimes waited for up to an hour for a ferret to surface but like someone said.'I want it now, playstation generation' probably start digging after a ten minute no show.

Would rather have a quick dig and get both rabbit and ferret than stand around for an hour or more not knowing where the ferret is. Whats so wrong with using a bleeper?

I agree, dig ferret and rabbit or rabbits out, give ferret another run through and move on to the next, why would you want to waste an hour waiting?

I'm with Plong on this...What's so wrong with using a bleeper?......For my ferrets, locators are compulsory dress...no bleeper, no work...after all that's what locators are there for......to be used
