bob.243 8,977
Which model are you getting? I have an 02 Reg. and it's very thirsty, I'm lucky if I'm getting 20MPG overall, if you are in 4 wheel drive in the fields, it just drinks the stuff. ATB Bob.
artic 595
Go for the warrior or the animal not the 4life as they are wasteful in all areas. I'm getting around 25mpg in mine. To be honest no 4x4 are any good of fuel. If that's what your after then maybe an estate car will be better? They are strong vehicles, plenty of room (twin cab) lots of room for your equipment and dogs in the back. With a good set of tyres they are very good off road. They are long so parking can be an issue due to blind spots, other than that with regular servicing they do last. You will hear all sorts about every make good and bad. FightTheBan 1,147
Old shape ones are utter shite on fuel, barely get you off the forecourt. New shape ones (06 ono I think) are as good on fuel as any of the others. Possibly better. Still rather have a hilux though. FTB

gazzer 1
the newer (not latest model)..warriors are a bag of crap,i have 3 friends had them.all binned off..turbos went, gaskets blew..wouldnt tow a trailer..gutless peice of junk.all have moved onto different cars..the old l200 is something i was looking into so would also like info in these..im not slating mitsubishi as a whole..i owned a pajero and it was awesome....but fuel economy..forget it...3 litre v6 did 18 to the gallon if on a good run...i have been warned by so many about warriors...i cant vouch for the brand new ones....one of my friends binned his for a new nevara..its awesome offroad.tow a tractor with it but it will drink the gas like most big 4x4s..also worth looking at the ford rangers. rob84 112
i have an l200 4 work 07 model, with road tyres and no canopy on the back i was getting combined 36mpg. i had measured it serveral times and that was the average. since then i have put a canopy on and at2 allterain tyres and the millage is down to the 33 mark. but this is all road work with no 4x4! when out yesterday pretty much 4x4 all day and it loved the juice, but saying that the truck had to work a dam sight harder! if doing a lot of towing and hard work get it chipped as it improves the fuel performance. a mate had his chipped and he sweared it made a hell of a difference. i havnt chipped mine tho! had mine over a year and its being to some place got stuck and got unstuck to! fairly solid trucks and if you look after them regular servicing they should last for years! i am pleased with mine anyway! so far so good!
