paulus 26
both are italian made, ive seen a few of both and the new simla guns are well made and ballanced but personally i would go for a bettinsoli or even a second hand lanber Quote Link to post
hearnc5 0
Ok Thanks for the tip, im i right in saying that the Bettinsoli has had a few problems in the past with miss fireing and both carts going off at the same time? Quote Link to post
paulus 26
dont know about that, but that sounds like a sears problem either during manufacture or someone tinkering with trigger pull afterwards Quote Link to post
hearnc5 0
Hi, thanks for the quick reply Quote Link to post
markha 99
I had 12g Bettinsoli diamond deluxe, no problems, great gun, some early Bettinsolis had problems, but all sorted now, my girl has a 20g Bettinsoli diamond and its a dream to shoot. My 12g is now a £200 Franchi Onyx made in 1973 with fixed chokes, it does what its supposed to Quote Link to post
hearnc5 0
Ok so by the sounds of it the Betty is the one to go for.....what do ya think? Quote Link to post
JonathanKent 16
The best thing you can do is go to the gunshop and try them both for fit and feel. Go and shoulder both and the one that feels right and fits better is the one you should buy. Have you had a look at one of the new Hatsan O/U for the price you are looking at you could have a brand new one with a three year warranty and they are getting some pretty good reviews: http://www.gunmart.net/gun_review/hatsan_silver_select/ On Guntrader there are brand new ones in your price range. Hope that helps ATB Jonno Quote Link to post
