Guest MOLLY
Quite simply....because of the dogs. If you inadvertently get dogs which tend to kill things , you either go with the flow or have a mental breakdown MOLL.

Butler 396
WATCH OUT THERES A p***y ON ERE FUNILY ENOUGH , I WAS NEVER ABOUT WORKING DOGS TILL ABOUT THE AGE OF 7 MAYBE 8 , BUT I WAS ALWAYS IN THE STEEL WORKS LOOKING TO GET SOME YOUNG FERRALS OUT THERE NESTS AT THE TOPS OF THE FOOKING MASSIVE SHEDS IN CORUS (I STILL SHUDDER WHEN I DRIVE PAST AND SEE HOW HIGH THEY ARE , NOW ) I COME FROM A LOWER CLASS FAMILY WITH 5 KIDS AND NOT MUCH MONEY , BUT DAD WAS ALWAYS WOKING , EITHER HOME OR AWAY AND MUM WAS LEFT TO RAISE THE 5 OF US , WE PLAYED OUT ALL DAY , THEN ONLY RETURNED WHEN ABSOLOUTLY FAMISHED , WALKING THE LACOL RAILWAY TRACKS TO AND FROM OUR DESTINATIONS , ALWAYS CHATTING TO THE ODD PASSERBY AND LOOKING FOR WILDLIFE , THEN A FREIND GOT HIMSELF A FERRET AND A FEW NETS SO WE WOULD GO OVER THE "GREEN HILL" SO CALLED AS IT WAS A BIG MOUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STEELWORKS WHICH WAS COVERED IN GRASS , THE ONLY BIT OF GREEN ABOUT , THIS PLACE WAS FULL OF RABBITS AND FOX'S , EVEN THE ODD DEER IF YOU WAS LUCKY ENOUGH , THERE WE WOULD SPEND HOURS TRYING TO BOLT RABBITS , NEVER THAT WE GOT MANY BUT IT WAS A NICE LITTLE OASIS TO BE IF THERE WAS NOTHING SHOWING WE WOULD JUST PLAY 4-5 MAN HUNT OR TIGS . THEN I MET A YOUNG LAD AT MY SCHOOL AND BECAME THE BEST OF BUDS , ALMOST BROTHERS .WE DID EVERY THING TOGETHER (HE LATER DIED OF LUKEMIA RIP DAVID C ) THE FIRST DAY I WENT TO HIS HOUSE THERE WAS A DEAD DEER HUNG UP OUT THE BACK (FOOK , WHAT WAS THIS I THOUGHT )I KNOCKED ON THE BACK DOOR AND HE ANSWERED , I WENT IN AND THERES HIS DAD ON THE SETTEE LAYING THERE , HIS WORDS WERE , YOUR NOT A GRASS ARE YOU !!! I DIDNT EVEN NOW WHAT HE MEANT . ANYWAY THIS WAS THE START OF MY INTRODUCTION IN RUNNING DOGS AND POACHING. THERE WAS MANY A TRIPS OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY NEW COMMERADE, HIS DAD AND HIS MATES USED TO HAVE ME AND DAVID DROPPED OF ON THE EDGE OF A WOOD (USALLY ON THE A19  )AND SAY WAIT THERE 10 MINS THEN BEAT OUT THE WOOD FOR US, FOOK-THE BRAMBLES WERE TALLER THAN THE TWO OF US PUT TOGETHER , AND DAVID WAS ONLY A TINY LAD , BUT WE WERE NO QUITERS SO IN WE GO AND BEAT IT LIKE OUR LIVES DEPENED ON IT. THEN OVER THE YEARS AS I GOT TALLER AND A BIT MORE WISER WE JUST WAITED TILL THEY WENT AND RAN DOWN THE SIDES OF THE WOODS AND WAIT THERE TILL IT WAS TIME TO GET OUT  . HIS DAD USED TO SAY , IF ANY KEEPERS COME JUST LEG IT , IF NOT JUST SAY YOU HAVE LOST YOUR DOG.ANYWAY THIS WAS THE WAY THAT I STARTED GETTING A TASTE FOR THIS SPORTS AND WENT ON TO WATCH HIS DAD TRAIN AND WORK SOME OF THE BEST DOGS I EVER SAW . I REALLY COULDNT SIT HERE AND TYPE EVERY THING DOWN BUT BELIVE ME SOME OF THE THINGS I SEEN IN THAT HOUSE WERE "TOP NOVEL MATERIAL " THIS IS WERE I FIRST INTRODUCED TO PANACILTY AND RABBIT STEW , DOG FLEA'S , VENISON,THE STUFFED ANIMALS ON THE WALL WERE AWSOME , I HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. I THINK EVEN TO THIS DAY MAYBE 22 YRS ON, IF I NEVER MET DAVID I WOULD BE A TOTAL DIFFERENT PERSON , WETHER GOOD OR BAD I DONT KNOW, BUT DEFFINATLY NOT WHO I AM TODAY ANYWAY NOW IM 30 YR OLD AND BOUGHT MY FIRST HOUSE WITH A WOMAN AND KIDS , I STILL LOVE JUST BEING OUT THERE WETHER ITS SHOOTING,FISHING,RATTING OR AS STABS SAID BEING OUT WITH THE DOGS ON A AUTUM'S DAY WALKING THROUGH THE WOODS , CANNOT BEAT IT , I PROBLEY ALWAYS WILL TO THE DAY I CAN NO LONGER DO SO. I think all from this area know who you mean mate......B C is a proper character. Served my apprenticeship with the "CAT" and as someone else off here would say it was emotional
