lads look out

Recommended Posts

my lad been pestering me for the last few days to take him out an show him the pup running the beam

he was out a few times last season, an is a regular on my ferreting trips(if they local)

but this was his 1st outing this season, what with the dark nights setting in an him getting older everyday,

i can see him wanting out a lot more the next few months

so anyways out we goes, see's a few bunnys in the 1st field, he says no, an as he has the lamp i aint got no choice but to walk on,

2nd field an we saw another 4/5 bunnys but he said no again an on we kept going, got to the 3 rd field, a nice pasture field, with a herd of cows on it, my lad climbed the gate, flicked the blitz around the field an settled the red beam on a squatter right out in middle of field, cows where no where to be seen, the wind is blowing [bANNED TEXT] on our face, lamp off, take the filter off an he picks the bunny up again, this time he tells the pup to go, with a hiss

off she goes under the gate, straight down the beam, the rabbit senses danger an runs a couple a yards, then squats, big mistake, pup takes it right out its seat, lad turns off the lamp an bitch returns with the bunny held by the loose skin on he back

lad waits for the bitch to come under the fence, takes the bunnys off her an says ' kill that da so we can go home'

an for home we head, a chuffed lad, another easy bunny for the pup, it was only 1 slip but we are out ferreting in morning hopefully, so all will be good
