hi tony

thanks for the comment

what I'm thinking of doing is a competition with rooks/crows and pigeons if anyone interested must have a picture with rifle and quarry also the time/date and what rifle

if we all whack a couple of pounds in a jar the winner takes it all,the competition last one month

what do you reckon?

Positive mate, jackies are small with a blue eye and grey head, rooks are much bigger, all black and when mature have a white parchment type surface to the base of the beak.

Thanks mate, not been out with air power for ages - .22 and .243 are busy at the moment though, and only 10 days to go before first day at the pheasants! scary stuff!

I am confused ! In post1 you tell us that you shot a Jackdaw, In post 8 you tell us that you thought it was a rook !

I thought quarry Identification was paramount in any form of hunting !

Atb Darren.

If certain its either a jackdaw or a rook you can quite happily shoot both so no problem :-)

Are you sure its not one of them pesky wabbits? :-D
