Not enough info for an answer.

How old?

What feed do you use?

Is there any blood or mucus in the poo?

How is the dog otherwise?

How often is it going?

Is it tucked up looking?

Basically you need to describe the situation in detail as runny poo can be somthing very simple like overfeeding or diet or it can be something that may be life threatening.

As always if not sure vets.

sam is 15 months old and started to have very loose stools about eight days ago, i starved him for one day and then only gave him chicken and rice which has helped but his stools are still loose. he has only ever been fed james welbeloved and has always thrived on this. he is a working lurcher used for ferreting and lamping of which i have done noe of this with him since he starting showing symtoms of not being quite right. he seems much better in himself so i have put him back onto his dry mix but still his stools are loose not diareha but loose. he is eating and drinking well and is still running around like a lune but i just cant firm his stools up, and advice. i feed him twice a day about a mug full at a time. he is only going his normal twice a day but he also has really bad wind that stinks like mad cheers reg

If it seems to be settling and the dog is well in itself I'd see how it goes for a few days, over feeding completes can give lose stools as can some brands. If there is any sign of illness have a chat with your vet. At 15 months I'd go for one meal daily and replace the second with a couple of biscuits.
