turbo28 1
i would personally use them at this age, others may not....do you have any experienced ferrets to work with them? Quote Link to post
Aaron_butcher 17
Start mine at 8 months. If they are to young and come across a rat or a stoat your going to have a poorly ferret. Thats just me though, others start at different ages. Aaron. Quote Link to post

Leeview 791
Yes they're old enough to start with or without an older ferret just dont expect them to be brilliant, that takes time and they dont all make the grade Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post

The one 8,494
Id be getting out there and trying them with a older ferret ,then you cant moan at xmas myxi flattened all the rabbits before you got the kit started Quote Link to post
Plong 21
Problem will be they get all worked up first time and never really work proply, just running through the sets and not hunting them. But they need to be started at some point and will get better with time. They often bite first time out as well both picking up and taking out of box even when they have been well handled, its just all new to them. Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
Get them out its all experience for them, the world is a big old place to a ferret when all its known is its hutch Quote Link to post
runforyourlife 361
Dont go trying to flush 30 holers out mate. Find yourself a few easy warrens, the smaller the better. Dont rush them, let them sniff the air, the ground. Let them have a good mooch about, hopefully they will enter at there own will. Its all trial and error mate. Good luck, let us know how you get on... Atb Russ, Quote Link to post
