Guest stewie
when i was younger and old guy used to run three of these together and everytime i went out with him the action was spot on!!!! worked all day, in and out of cover after bunnys and quality nose and vision im thinking of getting one to help my terrier in the bushes and add some raw speed to my little pack for them rabbits where if you blink they are gone. anyone planning a litter of genuine half crosses out of good dogs let me no Quote Link to post

wuyang 513
Something ive often thought about buying, but most people seem to say you are better off with a whippet, or buying a bed/greyhound. Still fancy one though, although i have heard they can struggle to keep up with the rabbit. May possibly get 3/4 whippet 1/4 bed. Quote Link to post

Trigger 26
if i was to buy one i would try and get a pup out of a beddy bitch rather than a whippet bitch they appear to be a bit better built imo. Quote Link to post

If I could choose to add that little bit extra of one trait to my 50/50 cross, it would be a touch more top end speed. Don't get me wrong, he's got no problem keeping up with a rabbit on the lamp, and makes up for the slight lack of top end with stamina, agility & strength of will. I just wish he had a touch more sighthound in his make up. Quote Link to post
heart of wales 19
It has always been my aim to try and replicate my old lurcher Scooby Bed x Whippet, searched awhile for a good whippet the one I bought was given a fair crack of the whip, but alas I would not have used him at the start of my line as I did not rate him high enough,so he was found a home which suited him a bit of ferreting with some one who has retired. I then acquired a beddy bitch pup she is dynamite just what You want from a beddy,I aint in no hurry but when the right stud dog comes around,I will be looking for a national racing champion, thats all this dog wants adding to it is speed. And the first pup will be for my Grandson who now has the bug. Quote Link to post
