Guest BLUE BULL
It depends where your going, some parts of Ol Eire are just as bad as England now! Ethnics galore... I was born in Nenagh Co tipp and i still own a house in templemore Co tipp where my cousin is mayor. If i could earn the kind of money over there that i earn in London there is no question i would pack immediately Edited to add: House prices have gone crazy, i paid £30,000 for my house 15 year ago, When i had it valued a few years back it was worth £180,000 and prices have risen more since. The cost of living seems to much higher aswell since the introduction of the euro. Edited December 29, 2006 by BLUE BULL

jigsaw 11,863
A lot of problembs with the Dutch and Germans in the west of Ireland. They buy up the land and stop locals and natives from enjoying the bounty of the fields.Joeb it must be a while since you were here cause we have plenty of rat race for everyone here,I suppose compared to the big cities in England it wouldnt be as bad but I live on the outskirts of Cork city and I wouldnt travel into the city unless I have to.The country is now multi racial as is most countrys but its still a great place to live except for the weather, rain like you never saw.Whin any chance of a deal on a dell computer?lol Sorry that last comment was for Nixy. Guest Frank
Well said jigsaw, that exactly how it is. I came here in 89 and it was heaven, everyone was driving around in old bangers, no tax, no insurance, no rip off NCT, ( MOT in UK ), ect ect. I had lurchers with me, when i moved over from the Uk and coursed them, ferreted with no bother. But, now, over the years, the population has doubled, antis have doubled and guiness has gone to most folks head. Their is also, next year, a new firearms bill coming into effect, which will make keeping firearms, as hard as the UK. But, i would still not go back to the UK. Frank.
reynardhunter 3
My other half spent her formative years in Ireland and is now trying to convince me to move there. I keep moaning about this country going to the dogs and this is strengthening her argument..... We have two young children, a lurcher, four ferrets, some chickens and a veg garden (you can see what I do for fun). I work in I.T. so it looks like employment shouldn't be a problem. So what's it like over there guys, the good and the bad?! Thanks in advance, Pyg. you better hurry mate , if you leave it any longer you may as well learn russian before you come, best of luck anyway, :welcomeani: :welcomeani:

Guest The Shaman
As a squaddie, I got sent over there in the 's during the troubles, I imagined everybody hated us, how wrong I was. If ever a country was more beautiful and welcoming I have yet to see it. Yes I was spat at, shot at, bombed but that was a minority. The Irish are genuine and if they didn't like me they let me know, but when they welcomed you it was genuine, not the plastic greetings you get from the Yanks - Have a nice day yaallllllllllllllll (when they don't give a flying fook whether you do or you dont). Any fellow hunters of the American persuasion that doesn't talk out their arse and insult people by being pretentiously polite I apologise - the rest I hope your next shite is a pineapple. By the way spent a great time in Colorado and Texas
