yeah very odd, when i was gamekeeping we had bit of problem with dumped city foxes but still they were frit of dogs, should just be a natural thing for charlie.

ive seen a lot of things over the 5 yrs lol.

seen fox trying to take rabbits of dogs,trying to play with bitches in season,howling outside a bitches kennel when she in season,and even beat a dog to a lamped rabbit,nothing surprices me with foxes but i do love reading about them,

I bet it just spooked the dog when it stopped. Ill never forget my inexperianced ferret chasing a rat up and out a hole, when the rat stumbled a faced the ferret. the ferret bricked it, though my friend never with his .177.

i once bolted a fox whilst out fereting it bolted from an unnetted hole and sat at the side of the hole why i was sat 10ft away and it just satthere and looked at me until i stood up.. lol

i was running a whippet x fell x back to whippet so many times i would have to lokk to say she stands 18 itts and is quite fine in her body shape if she had taken on the fox she would have come off worse or dead

 

she is a very soft natured bitch who rarley kills the rabbits she catches very soft mouthed

 

went back to look last night but it didnt show again will keep trying though would like to study it see if i can work it out by watching over a period of time

 

i gutted the rabbits caught last night where i saw the fox last so hope to find him tonight

two years ago the very same thing happened to me with my whippet cross,

i couldnt belive me eyes when i seen the fox chase my dog. my dog was only 10 months at the time and bairly knew what a rabbit was never mind a fox i presumed the fox was a young cub.

was a strange sight.

i had a greyhound that did r h d but never tried it with owt that bites back i was sat down in graveyard making a fag on way back from a nights lamping it was just coming light when i sin a fox walking down slipped the bitch and it bolted down towards the fox then the fox just turned face to face with it had a smell of each other and went there seperate ways

I'm currently working at a Hospice where there literally hundreds of rabbits.The first few hours i was itching to bag them, but it's real nice thing to see. Not everything that moves needs to be killed does it ?
