fry 209
ok all not tryin to start a row and i have looked at past threads and could not find a final answer but the first permnission i got was a large one over 60 acres it is wet land and not many trees no rabbits. what it does have is a few hares wich i dont fancy due to them being quite rare down here now, mink which are a bloody curse down here and i would shoot on sight, and a lot of ducks which are a tasty treat and i do fancy! there is no problem retrieving the bodys as there are no big rivers or ponds and they will be headshot if i go. what i want to know is, is it LEGAL (not sporting ect) to take duck with an air gun in england when they in season? the only reason i ask is it is owned by an old boy that i have done a lot of roof work for barn, house, ect and when he gave me permission his exact words were "i dont mind as long as you dont do nothin illegal" pease dont answer if you are guessing here are a few snaps of the place so you know i aint on a wind up. Ron Weasley 83
Perfectly legal mate, as long as you have permission from the land owner/occupier, and it's within the season. Quote Link to post

kingoftoosh 15
Awright Fry,glad you put this thread up as I see a few ducks on my permissionand have wondered if it was legal, didn't know so didn't bother, They used to land in small flocks and would feed alongside the Jackdaws on the cows grubn.Only thing bout them is that when they see you and fly away they make a hell of a racket and it frightens all the birds for miles away. Also get lots of pheasants ,but also wondered about the legalaty of this. Will need to ask the farmer if he minds me takin the odd one, especially with christmas coming up. Atb Kot Quote Link to post
