DarrenTaxi 0
There seems to be much debate as to which air rifle is better than all the rest ! And I concour with the opinion of many others on this forum that the best gun is the one that you can shoot properly with. I have noticed that there seems to be a lot more AA 410 and HW 100 for sale in the secondhand section.Dose this mean people with Daystates for example are so happy with them that they dont want to change ? This is just a casual observation and not intended to stir up a hornets nest. Atb Darren. Quote Link to post
fry 209
dont know about that mate it could just be that there are a lot more aa410 s and hw100 s in circulation than daystates. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Good point and I’m sure it will get a good debate going that Darren Not something that i have thought about before. Its got to be said though that the Daystate is the Rolls Royce price wise of hunting rifles. You don’t really ever hear anything bad about them. Si Edited October 25, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
johnboy19 38
I hadnt ever even seen a Daystate until i started taking part in HFT. Only been to two shoots but seen a variety of Daystates and had a shot of a few as well. I think a lot of people think its a lot of money to spend on a hunting gun, that will be getting dragged around feilds/woods etc in all weather. Some people can justify the money, some cant. At the end of the day my £400 2nd hand s410 will put pellets in the same hole as a brand new £1000 MK4. I think its down to affordability and personal preference. Dont get me wrong, i would love a Daystate, and hopefully at some point in the future i'll get my hands on one Anyway thats just my opinion John Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Fair one John bud, I would also love to have a Daystate to put through its paces Ive shot a Huntsman Classic in the Summer belonging to Alex and it was really nice. Si Quote Link to post
rossy08 33
i personal think that there are far more aa about than there are daystates, big chunk of this will be down to the price. dont get me wroung the daystates are fantastic guns, but to me for the extra £100's of quid whats the daystate doing that an aa ant. would have to drag its self round the feild, and clean its sen for a 1000 of my cash..but im tight. even with my s410 i dont like to get her dirty or scratched. if it comes down to me or the gun going through the shit or brambles, quess whos getting the plasters out. ME i heel, scratches on the 410 dont. atb Andy. ps if you want to give me a daystate i wont be saying no. Quote Link to post
PeakOil 352
I had a huntsman in the past and they are superb rifles. But at that price I was sometimes loathe to drag it through bushes, brambles, mud and out in the rain. Give me a S400 / S410 or an ultra multishot and leave hundreds of pounds in my back pocket any day. Quote Link to post

No Darren It just means that we can't all afford them I think Daystate are possibly the "Designer Lable" of the airgun world. Electronic triggers etc.... I only know a couple of owners and they won't take them out of their cases until it stops raining. Neither are Hunters. If they were to scratch them, there would be rushing them to the nearest Harley Street Cosmetic Surgeon to repair Phantom Quote Link to post
