thorny 100
Thanks for feed back, how big do you think he will make, He is 19" tts at just over 14 weeks. He was 15" at 10 weeks when we picked him up, so an inch a week!! How long does that keep up. Even the vet commented when he went back for his second jab at the rate he is growing. I would like to do a bit of mooching with him for rabbits when he is matured. I have a 30 acre permission, all of empty paddocks. What should I be doing with him at this moment. He has mastered sit, stay, get on, and is retrieving indoors. Been out of the lead and didnt stray to far and came back when called. I would like to train him on a whistle should, I start this now? Any advice would be more than welcome as this is the first ever hunting dog of any sort I have owned let alone tried to train. I dont want to ruin him down to me doing things wrong. Thanks Thorny Quote Link to post

Guest deerhound hunter
do,nt think he,ll keep growing at that rate at a inch a week ,proberly slow down 2 a inch a month, nice pup Quote Link to post
KenKeeping 13
He is a fast grower ain't he! Nice dog though! My Aladdin is 23" now, only grown 3" in the month iv'e had him so your pup is coming on well! Aladdin is a full Saluki so I hope he will get to 28"tts. You got your pup doing more at the moment than mine wants to do. Being a Saluki he can be stuborn when he wants, looks as if your pup is the opposit! Good luck with the work. Let him be a pup mind! Too many people try and rush them. Quote Link to post
