my first impressions of these deerhounds were SOOOO WRONG I thought they wouldnt be THAT fast and nubile,but be jesus when they open up theyre fliers,and they can turn well for a big dog.When they get the right slip JP you will not be dissapointed

Thanks for all the nice comments. A few answers - He came from Shanehound on this site. I was struggling to find a workng Deerhound and Jigsaw answered my post and let me know about the litter. He has been kept off the big stuff up until now but has had a few promising runs recently. Turns quicker than most and keeps the Beddy Whippet on her toes, very fast for his size and can real in the fox, roe and fallow we have around here. A tall lad at 31" but wiry and light framed. Will be getting into some serious hunting this Winter so will keep you all posted. Would love another from the same lines if Shanehound breeds again.

what a beauty you have my deerhound cross is only comming up to 10 months she is all legs at the minute lol and is still clumbsy on her feet,I swear she would never be fast enough to catch anything lol but all the lads say give her time.At the minute she is standing 25 inches.
