Original mod 35 super .22

Recommended Posts

Apparently this was a very good air rifle in its day, i shot one today through its original open sights and it was very accurate and was in perfect condition altho the gun slip was clearly 40 years old and had seen a moth or two :-),

After having a go i went straght onto the net but found no info watsoever?? Strange, am sure someone here must have some knolege of this rifle, apparently cost £80 new back then so not cheap. .ste.

They're a good solid old break barrel that if it's working well, is still plenty useful today.

They were never a good seller in the UK for some strange reason and are quite rare. Back then most folks who didn't buy British tended to go for either the FWB Sport or the HW35.

Cheers.

Edit to say.... Just remembered that they were a total pig to work on as were all those older Diana's. You needed the skills of a master clock maker to reasemble the triggers on them. Springs and ball bearings all over the workshop!!! They changed the design from the 48 onwards to make them a self contained unit.

Thanks for the info, this one is in absolute perfect condition and shoots beautifuly. I dont suppose you would have any idea of what it may be worth? Have asked around and you are the first person to know something about it.

Thanks .ste.

It felt realy solid and sat nice in the shoulder, i grew quite fond of it in the short time i was handling it :-).

It's a hard one to take a guess at 'cos there's so few about, I think the last time I saw one was probably the best part of twenty years ago.

To take a wild stab though, if you compare it to any good quality German springer of that kind of age, just for a naked gun in good nick around the 60 to 100 quid mark shouldn't be too far off but don't hold me to that....

As I said, they did get a bit of a rep for being a pig to work on and they are quite rare. Play it by ear and make a sensible offer, they are a good gun 'til they need work.

Cheers.
