I have a little grew x kelpie, plenty of speed and hammers rabbits day or night just starting out really at 19 months i bought her mainly to be used as a ferreting dog. i dont know if the father was a working kelpie or not but this little bitch is all work absolutely nuts. ive done obedience and agility work with her and she is a very clever little dog but hard work with other dogs and takes time to get to know people.

i enjoy her drive guts and determination but she isnt laid back enough for the missus and if she isnt exercised well enough she is a bloody nightmare. Not a dog for the first time dog owner

The most affectionate ,loyal, intelligent bitch I've ever owned .cattledog pup.bmp

obedient cattle dog.bmp

and athleticcattle dog jumping on shed.bmp

BUT not without certain funny little ways which might not make the cross everyone's cup of tea !!!

As mentioned there have been a couple of great threads on the subject already .

I agree, my half ACD is robust and physically sound and strong. She is incredibly loyal and willing to please and does have protective instinct, yet is friendly in normal circumstances.

She is half ACD and half small lurcher so lacks top end speed but has rapid early acceleration.
