Rhodey 96
Does anyone else agree that non KC reg dogs should be allowed to take part in field trails? Why does it matter if there reg with KC surely if an idependant vet certifies that there a pedrigree breed then why can't they run? I'm sure there are some out there with out papers that can beat the dogs that are KC but can never prove them selves. Oh well rant over let me know your thoughts. Quote Link to post

2434me 13
"surely if an idependant vet certifies that there a pedrigree breed" How can a vet say they are a pedigree dog ? All he can say is yes its black and LOOKS like a lab ? Unless of course he has the paperwork and chip number etc etc . I also agree that there are loads and loads of good dogs out there without papers. Thats life ! Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
What would be benifical in a cross like.... I believe the speed of the retrieve is not a massive part in the process. I dont do the trialing scene but i know about it. My dog wouldn't last 2 seconds in a trial as he would be 'out' because he doesn't sit as stiff as a board when the gun fires. I like to think of my dogs as "picking up dogs" and not "trialing dogs"........how do these dogs get on with a massive wood behind them with no directions..... Quote Link to post

Unless its one of my dogs ,and he will have the DNA as well . Quote Link to post
