Rabbit furs as dog bedding

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever made a blanket out of rabbit fur ?

I know how to dry them out. So if i did this then put them through the washing machine and got them stitched together , i`am thinking it would make warm dog bedding for there pen.

Or have i missed somthing as to why this cant or shouldnt be done? :whistling::icon_redface:

It has been known to happen :D

Rgds

I hada go at making some rabbit mittins made the one and made the mistake of leaving out the back and my lurcher ate it , and i think they would do the same if ever i made a blanket , but it does sound a good idea and would be warm .

Interesting idea, but what would putting the skins through the washing machine do to them? Surely you'd have to treat them somehow to stop them drying out and cracking after they dried? I'd imagine they'd harbour fleas etc if they weren't washed regularly? Might be an idea for lining the walls of the kennel - give the dog something to do chewing them off and shredding them ;)
