badgerboy 3
my personal choice for river fishing is fresh water baits such as roach or skimmer bream but there is no reason why you cant use eny bait as if the pike are on the feed they will uasuly take eny thing presented to them good luck hope this helps abit try some lamprey as the blood will realy travel in the running water the pike will homein from a good distance away Edited October 23, 2010 by badgerboy Quote Link to post

paulk73 151
get down morrisons and get a pile of spratts for a couple of £. seperate them into packs of 5 or 10. and put them in sandwhich bags and freeze them. then get some smelt, and mackeral from tackle shop. cut the macs in halfs and that should cover all angles and sizes of baits you should need. atb mate.
