socks 32,253
innoculations have to stay at a certain temperature so why take the risk with your new pup by jabbing him with stuff that may be dead ... get to the vet and pay the price and know your pup will definately be safe ............ lamping_dave 24
Vets is the only place I would take my dogs then you know its done properly, its not worth the risk for the amount it costs!! Quote Link to post

events co-ordinator 353
Remember no kennel will accept your dog if you go on holiday if you dont have an uptodate vaccination certificate. The other thing in Scotland is that SSpca can take your dog off you and have you charged with failing to provide vetinary attention for the dog. Since they have been given stautary powers under the Animal Welfare act(Scotland) 2006 they act like the Waffen SS and do not appear to be answerable to anyone. If you are going to be working dogs find a decent vet and build up a relationship with them it will serve you well over the years.YIS Quote Link to post
RossM 8,149
most vets do a not bad deal on innocs think mine cost £42 for both mine if not less, Quote Link to post
kx100 66
well to be honest i wasnt trying to cut corners in its welfere its just the guy offerd and i thought i would ask here first and i have plenty of money saved up for the pup so im not really worried about how much it is to get it jabbd at the vet as i have 300 saved and the pup is 100 so i have 200 spare Quote Link to post
events co-ordinator 353
My old mans trying to help guys who have had dogs taken by SSpca a lurcher thats won shows NRTH and Sth of the border 1 ex cop Mark Rafferty claims dogs underweight the dogs then seized the SSpca wont answer letters from lawers and vets thats how much pish it is. The last two cases my old man was involved in Gamekeepers were charged with failing to provide vetinary attention as the terriers had scars from foxwork this was despite the estate having its own vet. You better have a serious read at the animal welfare act they were even charging the keepers with keeping dogs to engage in an animal fight Pish I hope you have a good lawer because by the time legal aid is awarded theyve had months to build a case. Remember Name Rank and Serial number until you speak to a SPECIALIST lawer so no comment till you are lawered up. 1 Quote Link to post
