fitchet 788
my friend has been on the look outfor a dog for a while now he ideally wants a fox dog to accompany him when he out with the terriers.now the hard part.he has been offerd a dog that is very good on rabbits hares and deer but will NOT take fox due to a run in with one as a young dog he has never really tried on them. he will run them but will just not tackle them . . . what wouldyou do ? takethe dog and accept its never going to do what he really wants OR keep looking for a pup ? gatwick 6
If hes realy keen on the terriers then at least it will leave more for him to dig,if it still hunts fox then it may be usefull for pushing fox to ground day time and if its good at filling the freezer it can feed the whole kennels all depends how worried he is about missing bolting foxes, just a few thoughts ,then again a season of working with the terriers could possably bring it round stranger things have happened, personaly i would give it a miss plenty of dogs out there that take fox and plenty of potential fox killing pups being bred ,just got to remember theres more than 1 way to skin a cat lol or fox in your mates case.
