Ryan_Lightley 0
I was in a game dealers near newcastle yesterday and saw a cock pheasant still in the feather for £5!!! I know they’ve gotta turn a profit the same as everybody else but I happen to know that they’re only paying 12p per brace at the moment, surely if the game dealers dropped their prices the demand for game would rise? giving shoots a better price and giving the end consumer a lower one. overall the price of game, especially wild game like rabbit is shocking especially because it’s free! When I do sell my rabbits it's £1.50 only gutted. The same butcther will then sell them at £3. each. He has asked for 50 rabbits for next week, so he must be doing well. My local has rabbits off me for £1 each on a regular basis, then once he has tarted them up, they sell as a meal (gravy, mash or roasties/veg) for £10.40. Pidgeon breast as a starter £6..
