Some people get more satisfaction talking about terrierwork than the do from the sport.

There the ones who will ultimately stay at the same level and won't progresss.

 

Think your posts are really good and informed hepher,I don't post much as saying'nice dog' or 'how's he bred' isn't my thing unless it is truly deserved.

Hi lads only new to posting last few weeks did notice a lot of bitching and personal arguments but thats in every sport , wont let it distract me, Have to say enjoy hepher and ftb , co chise , quotes and got some sound advice from other lads one idiot started messing , dont let gob shites spoil your forum enjoy the genuine lads and ignore the rest, ill post when my dog starts on fox no problem, good luck lads with rest of season.

OK, AS THE TOPIC SAYS, THE SEASON HAS KICKED OFF, BUT YET THERE IS A BIG VACUM THAT NEEDS FILLED WITH DIGGING THREADS?? THERE IS MANY PPL THAT REPLY TO POSTS BUT YA NEVER SEE A THREAD FROM THEM THAT DOCUMENTNS A DOG RESCUE??? when i first come on this site it was a good site, plenty of tidy pics of digs and stuff and plenty of people with positive comments, now, i wouldnt bother posting on here because number 1 its full of arseholes who just like to cause arguments, number 2 its FULL of anti's...number 3 alot of people are giving the anti's ammo just like someone on this site only a few months ago and thats in a country where its legal (no names and no disrespect). alot of people liked that mans posts and pics, including me...but imagine being in his shoes and seeing yourself on a anti video making every dig and every pic looking 10 times worse than it probably was. also hepher seen you comment on someones post who said they had a metre dig, and saying his terrier killed the fox, things like that are why people dont post because you commenting if 'from your experience bla bla bla'. how do you know his dog didn't kill the fox in the time he said it did? and how do you know the dig isnt a metre deep? if that was my dig id of made it a bit wider yes but you cant see the breakthrough so how can you say its not a meter? rant over.

Ive only just started working terriers,(worked labs for 25yrs) my terriers are still young the dog is shit hot on rats when the work is there but still to young for foxes yet,but I think he's going to be a grafter the little bitch is hunting well but not really done owt yet,I have mates that have been working terriers for yrs and they will be showing me the ropes this season and they say they dont bother with all this forum internet boll**Ks they know what there dogs can do and done need to prove owt to anyone eles but themselves,and when I read some of the responces to threads on here sometimes tend to agree with them but I enjoy reading them, some of them you can learn from and its good to have support.

But as soon as my dogs are working full on if they make the grade, then I will put up a thread and pics and if they dont make the grade some of you guys expect of there dogs they I will still post on there ability,I dont really care what people think as long as Im happy with the dogs performance and whatever the quary maybe

ive been a member alot longer then the date on my profile ?? it use to be a good site with some very good story's and pics from good lads who dont post or arnt members no more ? apart from the odd ones, in the last 2 year its just got worse with folk slagging posts of, saying "that dog looks to clean to of been to ground" or "it isnt smashed up" or "that doesn't look the depth youve said", then afew others jump on band wagon then it goes to 5 pages plus of pure shity reply's, if folk spend time and effort to put a post up then who are we to slag them of, were not experts, if i think i dont believe a post then i dont reply, the man who puts the post up is only fooling himself if he's lieing , who are we to judge when we weren't there, just my opinion on why there arnt MANY good posts gets put up anymore, atb

How many times have ye read "good honest post"?That's what people want and that's what I think Hephers getting at.

There are contributing members and member who chose to read and not contribute for whatever reason,it's their right.

Then there are members who contribute only to demean anothers dog and while most hunt and have stories to tell but won't incase someone does as they do.If ye can't take honest criticism about your dog then don't post as it an international site and we all have different views as to what we prefer.

If someone critisizes unfairly then put them straight as it says more about them than you.If ye dig post suitable pics and write a wee article as this could be a decent section if all who use terriers stick a few posts up now and again.

 

Oh and then there's those terriermen who are far too up their own arse to entertain mere mortals with info and pics of their super secret terriers

hate to one to have to tell ye this but Hepher was scarred horrificly in a work accident disabling him from working.bet he wishes he was capable of work.

whilst at work yesterday i had a call from a frantic keeper saying he had put a fox to ground with his labrador and it was very near his release pens, so i dropped the tools and was soon with the keeper, it was a nice little 1 hole spot and the lakie was soon working his fox with a depth of 1 metre ,so gave him 10mins to settle before dropping down to him where he had things well under controll with 1 very dead fox.
